I’m aged over 50, married, and have two terrific young adult children. I like to be busy, but I always return calls or messages, and never make promises I can’t keep.
I really enjoy my work, and I also have lots of interests. They include dancing (modern jive), music, gardening, swimming, tennis, travel and cooking. I am a member of Soroptimist International – a women’s service organisation which works for good causes here and abroad. I spend my money mainly on my children, my house, travelling, clothes and going out. I save in ISAs and pensions.
Before becoming a financial adviser, I worked in life assurance companies for 15 years, mostly in marketing. During that time, I developed, launched and promoted products, which helps me to understand how they work. I have been an adviser for over 10 years.
I have the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate of the Chartered Insurance Ins
titute, and I am working towards the Chartered Financial Planner qualification. I am a Diploma member of the Personal Finance Society, and I have specialist qualifications in Long Term Care and Equity Release. I also specialise in investments and inheritance tax planning.
I can advise on most financial products, and can recommend someone to advise on those for which I am not authorised.
